BugChick.com is an information portal with pictures and caresheets of exotic cockroaches. While some species are bred specifically to feed reptiles and other insect-eating pets, most species have enough value to be considered pets in their own right. As a personal breeder of nearly 70 species of cockroaches, I hope to debunk the stigma that surrounds this widely misunderstood animal.

Content is largely based on my firsthand observations of my personal breeding collection. I try not to glean information off of other published resources because it's my intent to offer fresh insight rather than book-learned advice. Most of my experience is gained from experimenting and finding what works for each species. Because there is so much more to learn and write about Blattodea, I encourage others to do the same.

My name is Olivia. I graduated from The University of Kansas with a degree in Chinese Language & Literature. I am contemplating pursuing graduate studies in biology, and I dream about going to China to collect cockroaches.
